Servicing customers throughout EC Europe, our open-ground grown plants are carefully packed and shipped to our customers during the period of winter dormancy, from early November until mid-late April, ready for planting in their new surroundings.

2009/2010 Season - Lifting and Despatching Update 10 August 2010

We really have , definitely, absolutely reached the end of the lifting and despatching of bare-root trees and shrubs now, until November.  After the ice-bound January and February where even the phone appeared to be frozen solid, the late-leafing Spring was a welcome boost and April was particularly busy.  Orders for the 2010-11 season are coming in already and remember that we deal with all orders in strict rotational order, so early orders are delivered first, once we start again in the Autumn.

Sundries (eg stakes, ties, spirals, tree-shelters, clothing and books) are, of course, available year-round. Now into another wet summer, you may well be itching to get your hands on our excellent midge-proof hoods and hooded shirts.  They are biting well again now, after a slow start - probably due to the long dry spell that preceded the rain.

Nick Dunn's excellent but previously out-of-print "Tree Guide for Gardens" has now been heavily re-worked, re-named "TREES FOR YOUR GARDEN", re-sized and only modestly re-priced and is now back in stock.  Absolutely essential companion to expert and novice tree lovers alike. 

60th Anniversary year celebrations

Our Open Weekend on 10-11th July was great fun and well supported, although the rain on the Saturday probably suppressed visitor numbers.  The prize-winners of the Poetry Competition received their prizes on the Sunday and you can read more about this by following the highlighted link.
