You may be puzzled by the terminology that appears on our delivery notes to describe the type of packaging we have used for your parcel(s). Allow us to show yoy the various types of parcel that we are describing, in code and ask that you worry no more that we appear to have despatched ELMS to you, when you had clearly ordered BEECH plants.

Click to view an ELM (Extra Large Mat), which is a hand-sown hessian bag into which we will pack hedging or forest grade plants.

Click to view the MM (Medium Mat) and SM (Small Mat), the smaller brothers of the ELM, into which we pack smaller quantities of shrubs, hedging or forest grade plants.

Click to view the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4, which is the packaging type used for larger trees and is a combination of (usually) hessian sack and brown paper top wrapping. In its larger forms, there is more than a passing likeness to one of Tutankhamun’s late wives.
